  • Assessment of a new, non-emergency health concern
  • Practical recommendations and appropriate next steps
How it works

Three genuine next steps.

01

Request a booking call

Send a short enquiry. A Care Specialist contacts you about booking.

02

Meet your NP

Discuss your concern or medications in a private video visit with an Ontario nurse practitioner.

03

Understand next steps

Receive an assessment and practical guidance. Treatment, prescriptions or referrals depend on clinical assessment.

Step one

Send a short enquiry.

A Care Specialist will follow up. This does not book an appointment or confirm eligibility.

Sending an enquiry does not take payment or enrol you in a program.

A Care Specialist can help with booking and coordination. This enquiry is not an appointment, payment, program enrolment or clinical consultation. Please do not include medical details.

Questions

Before you enquire.

What if I need a prescription, test or referral?

Prescriptions, testing and referrals depend on the NP’s clinical assessment and are not guaranteed. A referral does not guarantee specialist acceptance or wait times.

Is this for emergencies?

No. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing or another emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Does sending an enquiry book an appointment or confirm eligibility?

No. The short enquiry lets a Refua Care Specialist contact you about next steps and booking. It does not book or hold an appointment, and it does not confirm clinical eligibility.

Is this covered by OHIP?

Refua is private-pay. OHIP or insurance reimbursement is not promised. All prices are in CAD.

Who can use Refua?

Refua currently serves people in Ontario. You must be in Ontario during clinical appointments. Virtual care is not for emergencies — call 911 if you need immediate help.
